Steph and I are running our first (and more than likely, last) half marathon on the 24th of September. We're taking part in the Disneyland Paris event, purely because we want an excuse to go to Disney, certainly not because we enjoy running! Please encourage us through the final push of our training by donating to Jade's Retreat.

Jade's Retreat is a non-profit charity that was set up by my colleague, in memory of her daughter Jade. Families who are touched by cancer, or families who have children with Special Educational Needs are able to enjoy a holiday together in Jade's caravan. The charity relies on fundraising to pay the £4,000 yearly fees, to carry out maintenance and improvements, and to provide a hamper for all of the families who stay.

Recently, money raised for the charity was used to pay for decking outside the caravan, which has allowed families to enjoy the sunshine throughout the summer. You can read more about the work here: Jade's Retreat Facebook Page
