Story

Since the late 90s, Wensley Estate in Sheffield has been an area renowned for drug using, drug dealing, stabbings and gun crime.

Very recently, a young man was stabbed and murdered and the whole area has been affected by this tragedy. There were young children who were traumatised by having to witness a dead body in front of their eyes.

The aim of this charity is to divert the young people in the area from criminal activities and to help them focus more towards normal civilisation and positive activities.

The community doesn't have any facilities where people can join together and participate in anything positive such as sports activities, educational/employment advice and the local park has even been abandoned and has no equipment for children to play with to keep them occupied.

Therefore, as a member of the community, I feel obliged to try and provide these facilities in order to divert the youngsters from boredom which leads to hanging around in the streets as the streets is where they learn how to become a criminal which then becomes instilled in their personality throughout their life.

I hope we can turn this community from a negative one to a very positive one.

Any donations towards this cause will be very much appreciated.

Thank you.
