Story
Hello!
Thanks for visiting our page and paying an interest in what we are doing, and offering your support to Making It Out C.I.C.
Hopefully you have already seen an example of our work in the Big Gay Gull and that's why you're here to support us and help us make more works of art that involve the local community in the inception, development and implementation!
The Big Gay Gull was made with the help of a large number of different people including groups from the YMCA, our programme participants and out tenants. We think it's all the better for the number of different people that were involved in it's creation and the enjoyment and pride that they got from creating it.
Making It Out work with a number of different people who need support in finding and maintaining regular positive activity. One group that we focus on particularly is people who are at risk of committing crime. To do this we work hand in hand with the local statutory services to identify participants and offer them opportunities to be involved in creative art design and manufacture training, with our intended outcome being their further engagement with work, education or training after leaving us.
This page has been set up to help us raise funds for the work that we do. This may include staffing, materials, equipment or supplying our participants with the equipment or resources they need to have a more positive, successful future. We would be grateful for any money that you are able to spare.
We would also be interested in hearing from you if you need something making, from intricate artwork or set design through to innovative products or household furniture, please get in touch at admin@makingitout.co.uk.
Thanks,
Mark Whaley
