My name is Maksym. I’m Ukrainian and have lived in the UK for most of my life. Since the full-scale invasion began, my friends and I have been doing everything we can to support those affected back home — through events, personal challenges, and fundraising efforts.

It has now been 1,253 days since Putin launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. That’s over three years and four months of pain, grief, and relentless suffering. Millions have been displaced with no homes left to return to. But Russia still doesn’t understand: Ukraine will never break. We will never surrender. Each drone strike, each missile only fuels our anger and deepens our resolve. We will fight until victory.

This August, a group of best friends are taking on our biggest challenge yet: cycling from the UK to Amsterdam. The ride will take place from Wednesday 20th to Monday 25th August 2025, and we've been training hard for weeks to make it happen.
