I just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU for your support on my last Just Giving cause. Because of YOUR donations we were able to help so many people in need in Pakistan this year. I’ve now started this page for a new project that many of you who have been following my journey in Pakistan will know of- to build a care centre for those in need.

To give you a little background- For almost a year, my Mother has set up her own charity- Mama Welfare Organization, initially aiming to help orphan children who have been abandoned and have none of the basic amenities, healthcare or education. She invested every penny into her cause and did all the work herself, which became noticable by the poverty stricken community in Pakistan. After witnessing how small communities were abandoned and struggled with disease and no access to clean water, my Mother had taken volunteer doctors and locals to provide medical care and welfare to those in need as well as building water wells. My mother’s commitment and dedication has inspired me to join her charity for this incredible cause. A few months ago we set off to Pakistan on a charity trip together. Where we were able to:

* Build hundreds of water wells,

* Fund orphanage centres with food, toys, clothing and took all the orphan children on day trips

* Fund drug rehabilitation centres with food monthly & covered rent and utility costs to keep the centre open that helps children as young as 4 years old- heavily addicted to class A drugs

* Provide hundreds of wheelchairs to children and adults who have spent their entire lives bed ridden with no means to get around,

* Find & give jobs for those struggling to earn a living by providing them with the equipment necessary

* Provide medical care and support to sexually abused women and children

* Free children from slavery in the brick kilns by paying off the debt owed

This is just a summary of the things we were able to achieve in just a few weeks with all your help!

Now, after retrieving the land, the Mama Welfare Organisation Care Centre is being built. We will have various departments in the centre that will provide food, shelter, education, care, support, medical help, and overall welfare to orphans, drug addicts, sexually abused/ mentally disabled, and to anyone in need. Initially it was only going to be an orphanage, but after realising how many people out there needed help, we decided to facilitate to a wider scale of people in need. For the orphan children, losing a parent can mean that access to education, the protection of shelter, the sustenance of nutritious meals and the chance for a secure future all become an impossible dream. This is why I have created this page, as the responsibility of care for these orphans should fall on us all.

Together with your support, Mama Welfare Organization aims to help all those in need, so they can get the start in life needed to gain a path out of poverty and towards a brighter future.
