Story
Ireland has always felt close to home. My family are Irish, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to explore the country they are from — not just visit, but really walk it, step by step.
In 2023, I ran the Dublin Marathon in honour of my mum, raising nearly £10,000 for charity. It was a challenge that tested me in every way, but also one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Crossing that finish line left me with a strong conviction: I wasn’t done. I knew I wanted to carry that spirit forward into the future — with something bigger, more personal, and even more meaningful.
This October, I’ll be walking from Malin Head to Mizen Head — Ireland’s most northerly point to its most southerly. It’s over 1,000 kilometres, spread across 50 days. Along the way, I’ll be documenting the journey on social media and Strava, sharing not only the miles but the stories and reasons behind them.Those reasons are deeply personal;
💚 Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey – for my mum, who was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago, and for the incredible support Macmillan gave us as a family.
❤️ Irish Heart Foundation – in honor of my family, whose lives have been deeply impacted by generations of heart conditions.
💜 Dementia Jersey – my chosen charity, supporting families through the devastating effects of dementia.
This walk isn’t just about the distance. It’s about honouring my family, giving back to organisations that give hope, and continuing a journey that started long before I set foot on the road.
