I've raised £10000 to fund the racing season as much as possible and make waves in the Isle of Man in August for my second Manx Grand Prix.

Story

Having lost my girlfriend Karen to cancer in 2005 and my wife Suzanne the same way in 2012, I started racing in 2015 to try to become a regular Isle of Man TT racer and hopefully raise some good money for Cancer Research UK along the way.

If anyone is limited to being generous one way or the other, I'd rather it went to charity on the other JustGiving link below but if anyone wants to help with the racing, every penny is appreciated.

If youre still reading this far down then hopefully you're inerested in helping the racing too.

I started racing at 42 years old against the advice of most officials on the grounds that I'd never make it to the iosland before I aged out on regulations so don't waste my time and money. Undetered, I pressed on as a self sponsored privateer and have invested tens of thousands and will continue to do so as I am completely driven to make this happen.

Late '15 and '16 were spent racing to gain my national licence with which I was able to go road racing in '17 to gain experience towards a Manx Grand Prix entry. Having been accepted accepted in'18 and in spite of mechanical issues, I managed to not embarrass myself and come away with two trophies for two starts. There was enough data to calculate around the breakdowns and be very encouraged for the next few years at the ManxGP before applying to the TT.

Thank you to anyone who has helped, wants to help or has just expressed an interest, it is all very much appreciated. For any further information or to get involved with the racing in any way, please email me on raymaloney@btinternet.com as the website maloneyracing.com is not yet fully functioning.

Cheers,

Ray
