I've raised £400 to clean our oceans!

Hey all,
On May 6th, I'm running a trail marathon in Corsica. What's that, you say? It's basically a marathon... in the mountains! It should take about 7 gruelling hours, during which you'll be snoozing, sipping coffee, and enjoying your Sunday roast.
I'm taking the opportunity to raise money for the Ocean Cleanup (more info here ). They're a Dutch NGO striving to clean the Great Pacific Garbage Patch up by 50% within the next 5 years. So far, they're the only ones to have conducted extensive research on the nature and extent of the garbage patch, having carried out the largest ever ocean research expedition in 2015- a reconnaissance expedition which crossed the Pacific Garbage Patch and mapped an area of 3.5 million square kilometres. For more information on the Mega Expedition, take a few minutes to watch this really cool video.
This year, the Ocean Cleanup is launching its cleanup system using innovative technology which I don't fully understand (geeks, click here), and aims to expand its work to the four other gyres by 2020.
And you know what the good thing is? To be a part of this, all you have to do is click "donate" (easy, right?). I'll take care of the running in the mountains bit.
Thank you!
Maelys
