Story

Hello everyone,

As some of you know my wife and I welcomed our beautiful daughter, Alexa into our lives on 23rd February 2017. Unfortunately, due to a few complications she spent the first 34 days of her life in NICU at St. Mary’s hospital, Manchester. The support and level of care we received from the staff at the hospital was incredible. We are so grateful to everyone involved in her recovery and have decided we would like to give something back every year.

The NICU ward at St Mary's Hospital in Manchester provides essential individual care for newborn premature or unexpectedly unwell babies. The doctors and nurses work around the clock giving every baby the individual care they need no matter how complex.

I would like to raise some money for the department so they are able to purchase essential equipment for the babies and parents they support.

If we hit the goal by Friday 12th July I will be shaving my long hair off.

My ponytail is 16 years old :( and I will be sad to see it go but the hair will be donated to the Little Princess Trust and used to better someones life ( https://www.littleprincesses.org.uk/ ). The Little Princess Trust provides free real hair wigs to children and young people, up to 24 years, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.

Anything you can give will go a long way to helping others in difficult situations.
