Summer of Solidarity: David and Mary are running and swimming for Standing Together - we'll be running 20k and swimming 10k respectively over the month of August. Updates will be posted here and on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61583522655343).

As of the 17th August, Mary has swum 4k (6k to go!) and David has run 10k (10k to go!).

Thanks to your incredible generosity, we have smashed through our original £500 target and are now looking towards s stretch target of £1,000!

Summer of Solidarity is a Manchester Friends of Standing Together initiative. We are one of many groups across the world raising awareness and funding of Standing Together's vital work. You can find out more on UK Friends of Standing Together's website (https://ukfost.co.uk/).

Standing Together are a Jewish-Palestinian movement in Israel-Palestine, fighting for peace, equality and freedom for all who reside between the River Jordan and the Mediterranean Sea.

Their work includes protective presence in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, protecting convoys of aid for Gaza, and building bomb shelters in Bedouin communities.

Standing Together believes ending war and occupation, and building peace and partnership between Israeli Jews and Palestinians is the route to both Palestinian freedom and Jewish safety.
