Story

Towergate Prison Break

My name is Margaret MacNeil and I work within the Group in Manchester. On 22nd May this year, Manchester was a victim of a crime that it will never fully come to terms with. 22 people lost their lives at the hands of a Suicide Bomber and several others have received life changing injuries. My niece, Eilidh MacLeod was killed during the bombing that night and her friend Laura MacIntyre has been left with life-changing injuries.

Despite this atrocity we saw the best in the people of Manchester when the entire community came together in support of the victims and their families. Through the shock, pain and grief, I have taken great comfort from all the offers of support, love and friendship from my colleagues and friends throughout the Group overwhelming and truly humbling. I am honoured to work with such amazing people who have shown such great Community Spirit.

Following on from this night, there has been various fundraising activities undertaken within the Group. We have come together locally and chosen to support the Greater Manchester Homelessness Fund in honour of the victims of the bombing. As some of you may be aware, many homeless people came to the aid of those in need on that terrible evening and we would now like to raise as much money as possible to help our homeless community.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
On 31st August 2017, we are placing under Office Arrest 2 of our Directors, namely Andrew Champion and Tony O’Gara. They will be imprisoned within the office until they manage to raise the bail needed for their release. Their only way to do this is to seek pledges from the contacts in their mobile phones.

Please make your donations via this page and let us know if you are pledging to release Andrew, Tony or indeed to keep them in!! This is for a fantastic cause and every penny helps..

Thank you for your support
