Story
Just over 2 years ago my best mate Joseph Bentham (curlie) lost his life at the young age of 22. He had suffered with mental health and sleep insomnia for some years.
I asked his parents, the wonderful Sarra and Clint, if they would like me to do the Manchester to Blackpool ride in memory of their son. They were happy and asked if I would raise funds for Manchester Sleep Centre, so they can do work and research into acute sleep insomnia. All the funds I am lucky enough to raise will go to Manchester Sleep Centre. Please give anything you can!
I asked Sarra and Clint if they would like to say anything and this is there message: Joseph passed away aged 22. He had suffered from acute insomnia which intensified over the previous two years impacting on all aspects of his life. Curlie Joe was well loved and remembered by his family and friends and everyone who ever met him.
All funds raised will be directed to the Manchester Sleep Centre. We have been in contact with them and are aware how much sleep related research, particularly insomnia, is grossly underfunded in this country. Monies will enable research and training of medical professionals in recognising and treating insomnia.
We will be so grateful for any donations received, no matter how small.
Thank you!!!
