I've raised £750 to help MUBS attend BABS Convention 2024

Established in 2010 by students, Manchester University Barbershop Singers (aka MUBS) are a mixed youth barbershop chorus singing a cappella close harmony, based in Manchester, UK. We are non-auditioned and rehearse weekly during university term time.
We aim to provide opportunities for all members to perform and learn more about the barbershop genre, as well as to interact with the wider barbershop community.
MUBS is affiliated with the British Association of Barbershop Singers (BABS) and we compete in their annual mixed chorus contest every May. In 2023 we placed 5th and were awarded the Most Improved Chorus Award and the 2nd Division Champion Award.
All of our members are under 30 and the majority are university students. We want to make barbershop harmony accessible to everyone and encourage a new generation of barbershop singers.
To support our members in getting to the BABS stage, we aim to raise £750 before convention. We are a not-for-profit organisation so all of the money raised in this fundraiser will go directly towards getting our members onto the BABS convention stage this May. This may include purchasing sheet music, contest passes, BABS memberships and other administrative costs associated with attending convention. Any money leftover after covering those costs will be reinvested into the society or used to subsidise members costs to attend convention in 2024.
If you have any questions about our fundraiser or how you can support us in other ways, don't hesitate to get in touch. Any contribution makes a big difference to us, we are grateful for all your support – even if it's just a share on your social media. Thank you!
