You may have heard the devastating news that Barbara Hambly, former Sutton Coldfield hockey player, England and Great Britain captain has suffered a stroke and is currently being cared for at Solihull Hospital. As a player Barbara demonstrated great strength, incredible fitness and a competitiveness that no-one else could match.. She will need to draw on these strengths to see her through some tough rehabilitation.

I would love to let Barbara know how much the hockey family are all thinking of her by fund raising some money to help her and her family adjust to this life changing event. Perhaps we can help equip her house so that she can return home to be with her family to start the long road to recovery. I am sure we can help make a difference.
