Mere’s Edge Federation is made up of two fantastic rural primary schools - Criftins CE Primary School and Cockshutt CE Primary School & Nursery. I have the privilege of being the Headteacher of both schools and leading two brilliant teams to deliver an exciting education for all our children.

We talk to the children about having a ‘growth mindset’ and extending ourselves through perservance, enjoying learning and above all have-a-go no matter what challenges you may face!

Well now it‘s my turn. I am not a runner (my friends and family will testify to this) but I am - along with parents and governors from our federation - going to run the Ellesmere 10k on the 26th August 2018. This is a huge challenge for me but it is for the benefit of our children.

Any money raised will go to enhancing the schools for our pupils as the children have so many great ideas for the future. Funding is so limited in the current educational climate but we still dream big and imagine a school without those constraints.

I believe that everyone is capable of way more than we can ever imagine, we have the capacity to learn for our entire lives so if you are able please donate to this old headteacher as she attempts to put one foot in front of the other and challenge herself for the good of our children!
