I've raised £4000 to help relieve Mandy's pain and suffering

Last year Helen and Sheryl at Orchid Rehabilitation decided that they wanted to make a difference for others and provide for the local community as a celebration of Orchid Rehabilitation's second birthday. They came up with the idea of a sponsored hair cut after the 1st Lockdown (due to Covid-19) and have been growing their hair with this in mind. It has now been over two years since they have both had their hair cut and they would like to have it cut for the The Little Princess Trust to make it into a wig for young people who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment or other medical conditions. We are aiming to have at least 12 inches cut and donated to charity.
We are also looking to fundraise money to purchase a Mollii suit for a well-loved Salisbury resident who is suffering from Fibromyalgia. The Mollii suit was trialed with her for a research article into the effectiveness of the Mollii suit with Fibromyalgia and helped to reduce her pain, burning sensations, restless legs and improved her sleep.
For those of your who do not know what a Mollii suit is, it comprises a jacket and trousers which have electrodes providing electrical stimulation to different areas of the body. “It brings rapid relief and help to people with symptoms such as spasticity, dystonia, muscle weakness, hypotonia, muscle rigidity, spasms, ataxia, athetoid movement, balance and control difficulties. It also helps ease the pain and fatigue which often occur in neurological and other movement disorders”. For more information see: Mollii suit website The Mollii suit is not funded through the NHS but has made a huge difference in Mandy's life.
Please understand that to have this much hair cut off will be a traumatic experience for both Helen and Sheryl who have grown attached to their long hair styles over many years. When you see them afterwards please do not laugh at their short, curly bob’s or question why they are wearing a woolly hat in the heat of the summer!
All joking aside please help us in our fundraising mission!
