    Story

Hi, Im raising funds for my aunt and uncle who's dream is to become parents. They have been together for 20 years and have been trying for a baby for the past 13 years. After multiple failed IVF attempts and a rejected adoption application they thought it was the end.
My aunt has a condition called Gardner Syndrome, this is a mutation of another condition called Familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP). This causes polyps to grow inside her bowel and intestines, her first major surgery was at the age of 15 where after about of MRSA and a huge kidney infection (which now has a stent in to remain working) she was in hospital for around 9 months. This has since meant a hospital procedure every 6 months to keep the condition under control. A couple of years ago, she was involved in a car accident and as a result developed a tumour in her neck from the whiplash and was diagnosed with the Gardner syndrome. This is a condition that tumours grow internally as well as externally, and while they are not cancerous they can cause problems by wrapping themselves around organs and veins and can be caused by trauma. It is now deemed unsafe for her to carry a baby at all.

So 18 months ago, my mother offered to be their surrogate, with the full support of the family. There was finally hope. After a year of trying artificial insemination my mother went for fertility tests and found to have one tube not working too well and was advised to do IVF. This is what they did last month and it unfortunately failed. (The photo is of them on the last trip to Prague, mums at the front), where the IVF is done as it costs 3 times as much in the UK). so now all savings have been exhausted and we all want to try again. My grandparents are funding half the treatment so we are fundraising for the rest.

I want to help, so I am doing a tandem skydive from 12,000 feet on the 20th May. Please support me in doing this and help me make my aunt and uncles dream come true.
    Thank you.
    Kara x
