I'm raising £2000 to help the woolly residents at the Mirkwood Rest Home for Retired Sheep

This is my new fundraising page for the Mirkwood Rest Home for Retired Sheep which cares for almost 60 rescued and elderly sheep. I'm trying to raise as much a possible to help these lovely animals enjoy a secure future. They are looked after voluntarily by Andy Bailey so EVERY penny raised will go directly to pay for feed, bedding and veterinary care. Throughought 2024 I will be taking on either an ultra or a marathon every month. I completed my first event on the 27th January which was the 100 mile Arc of Attrition race in Cornwall. In February I ran the Marriotts Way Marathon along a redundant train track dressed as a train. On 23rd March I ran the Curlys Great British Seaside Ultra in fancy dress again with a Baywatch/Baahhwatch theme and a seaside collecting bucket. My fourth event was the Norfolk Marathon on 28th April which I did in a Road Runner cartoon, Bernie Clifton style costume. At the beginning of May I completed the the GB Ultras Pennine Barrier 50 mile and then I ran 100 miles (24 yards) at the Suffolk Backyard Ultra at the beginning of June in various fancy dress costumes including my Big Sheep one. In July and August family responsibilities made it impossible for me to complete my chosen ultras so instead I ran a virtual marathon and ultra close to home. In September I did the Norfolk Coastal Marathon and in October I did another virtual marathon ~ the Baah Baah Bimble. My next event was the Turkey Trot marathon at the end of November and now Im doing final preparation for
the big one, The Viking Way Ultra (147 miles) which starts on 7th December. Below are photos of the sheep in the Mirkwood Sanctuary and my running events.
