    Story

In September 2017 my beautiful older brother Matthew, took his own life. On April 21st 2018 I will be climbing Mount Snowdon in his memory. When the climb is complete, I will release one Chinese lantern into the sky. A symbol of both his loss, and his light.

I have created this page to raise awareness, and also to raise funds for one of the few charities in the UK working to highlight male vulnerability in the home, ManKind Initiative. 84 men a week in the UK choose to die. This is an overwhelming statistic, though shamefully overlooked and ignored by many. The reasons are many and varied. But the outcome often the same. If you would like to donate and support my hiking venture, you will join one of the few but fundamental voices in the fight for men's mental health and care. So many of our bright sparks have gone out already. It's time we turned on the light.
