We're raising £2,000 to provide a memorial bench and plaque at Manvers Lake in honour of our dear friend Nev, whose kindness, humour, and friendship touched so many lives.

It is with great sadness that we remember our dear friend Nev, a true gentleman and one of the most familiar and cherished faces around Manvers Lake.

Nev was part of the daily life of the lake. Most mornings, you would find him with his friends, arriving on his mobility scooter, stopping for a chat, sharing a joke, or offering a friendly smile to everyone he met. He never passed by without a kind word, and many of the dogs who visited the lake looked forward to seeing him, knowing he always had a treat waiting for them.

He had a wonderful way of making people feel welcome. Whether you knew him well or had only met him once, Nev had a gift for brightening your day. His warmth and humour touched countless lives, and his presence at the lake will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

To honour Nev's memory, we are raising funds to install a memorial bench and plaque at Manvers Lake, a place that meant so much to him. We hope it will provide a peaceful spot where family, friends, and visitors can sit, reflect, and remember a man who brought so much happiness to those around him.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will help us create this lasting tribute. Every donation will go directly towards the cost of the memorial bench, plaque, and installation.
