Story
Demand on food banks in Liverpool has risen by 40% in the last 12 months
Every day in our community there are parents unable to feed their children, elderly people living in fear, wondering where their next meal is coming from, the homeless unable to access food or shelter and the vulnerable unable to care for themselves without anyone able to go in and support them.

Covid-19 caused our industry to collapse, preventing us from opening for months, but we're fighting back by volunteering our time and kitchen to cook meals for those in need across our community.

Our journey so far with Open Kitchens has been fantastic, we cannot thank our donators enough for your continued support, we couldn't have done this without you. From the money raised so far we have delivered a total of 4,764 meals. 2,350 meals have been delivered to the YMCA, 360 to Swanside, 1,023 to Wirral Ark, 610 to Whitechapel, 301 to Speke House and 120 to Mill Green School.
As we go into the winter months it's more important than ever that we keep going, so from our next round of funding we have connected with Granby Children's Centre to deliver meals to the Toxteth area. The meals will go to families that would benefit from a Christmas meal, as well as those most vulnerable.

We're not alone either, there are many kitchens across the UK working for free to feed their community as part of the Open Kitchens initiative. You can show your support by visiting the Open Kitchens website and help spread the word by following Open Kitchens on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & LinkedIn.
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, your kindness and generosity is making a huge difference to many people in our community every day!
We can't wait to see you again on the other side, but for now, and more than ever we need to come together, so please dig deep and donate to help feed those in need.
With love,
The team at Maray Restaurant Group
