Story
One of Martin's greatest loves after his children is ThunderCat Racing.
During the demonstration event being held in Dublin over the weekend Friday 2nd June - Monday 5th June, Martin began to feel unwell and complain of a headache. When it became clear that Martin’s headache was becoming something more serious, the ThunderCat Doctor was called to examine him and he was immediately taken to hospital. On-route to the hospital, Martin’s condition deteriorated further and his condition became very serious.
After receiving first class emergency-care from the ThunderCat doctor and the medical staff at the hospital, Martin underwent surgery to treat what we now know was an intracranial hematoma (bleed on the brain). This is an extremely serious situation and Martin remains in an induced coma to allow his body time to recover and his current condition remains critical but stable. The specialists are unsure at the moment what degree of recovery Martin will have, but we want to encourage you all to remain positive.
Martin’s family are with him in Ireland as well as a representative from Thundercat Racing / VoomVoom Ltd. They have been supported by the event hosts and by Thundercat Racing and have everything they need to be able to stay with him until the situation improves.
We are of course absolutely devastated that this has happened to one of our community and we would like everyone to dig deep to help ensure that Martin's children do not go without during Martin's recovery. As most of you are aware Martin works in the building trade therefore as a self-employed person will suffer a loss of earnings until he is back to work.
We all love Martin so much and during this difficult time we all really need to ensure his children needs are met.
We all thank you from the bottom of our hearts, we will ensure that every penny is used to look after the children and support Martin at this time of need.
Love and thanks

7 years agoFirstly may I thank everyone for their generosity Martin's family are overwhelmed by all your kind words and donations. The latest on Martin is that he is still in Dublin but has been moved from ICU to the HD ward. Unfortunately he is not currently well enough to travel back home but we are hoping to get him back to the UK as soon as possible. Currently he is in a stable condition and is showing some responses to his parents voices. These are small positive steps on Martin's long road to recovery. Thanks again everyone Marc
