Story
MARCH A MARATHON
As a cricket club we are having a March a Marathon week to raise funds for 2 great causes during the first week of March. These are Crigglestone Cricket Club and The Neuromuscular Centre. During the first week of March members of the cricket club will walk half a marathon during the week and completing another half a Marathon together on Saturday 5th March.
The two great causes we are raising money for centre around this young man Josh who has Becker Muscular Dystrophy and is now permanently based in a wheelchair. He has helped Crigglestone Cricket Club restart two years ago and offered so much support behind the scenes. He has also travelled from all over the country to come and score for us on a Saturday.
This would have not been possible without the support that the Neuromuscular Centre have given him over the years. The Neuromuscular Centre is a place of excellence for people and families like Josh who have a Neuromuscular Condition. Over the years they have been able to offer him treatments, physio, training, and support along with many others that suffer with muscle wasting conditions. This centre enables people to have a healthy, productive, and fulfilling life.
Therefore, with your support half of this money will go The Neuromuscular Centre to help them advance the great work that they already do for people like Josh. The other half will help to continue the development of Crigglestone Cricket Club as they support the local community in providing facilities and affordability to play cricket.
