Story

Maurice was an incredible friend, colleague, and a truly kind-hearted person who dedicated his time to helping others. Since joining Enabled Living in 2019, he worked in the Community Equipment Service, delivering and reconditioning vital equipment to support Newham residents. His work allowed so many people to maintain their dignity, regain independence, and return home after hospital stays. Though much of what he did was behind the scenes, the impact he made on people’s lives was immeasurable.

After bravely battling cancer, Maurice sadly passed away on Sunday 26th January, leaving a lasting mark on all who knew him. He was surrounded by love from his family, friends, and everyone at Enabled Living. Now, we want to honour his legacy and continue to support his family in this difficult time.

This February, we’ve launched "March for Maurice", a sponsored step challenge to raise funds for Maurice’s last wishes and funeral. Together, we’re aiming for an ambitious but meaningful goal: to collectively walk 10 million steps by the end of February.

Every step we take and every donation made is a tribute to Maurice’s kindness, dedication, and the impact he had on so many.

Thank you for all your support.
