The 2021 local elections are an important moment for the future of our city centre, our city, and our country.
Our city centre needs driven and diligent local representatives to shepherd our recovery from the Covid-19 crisis, local representatives who live here and understand our daily concerns. Our city needs confident, ambitious Councillors who will map out and deliver the inclusive, green Manchester of the future. And, our country needs to send a clear message to our failing Tory Government and part-time Prime Minister that we do not accept their incompetence in keeping us safe from Covid-19 and protecting our jobs from its economic fallout -- to send a message that they will be held to account by a strong opposition party, the Labour Party.
Together, that is why we need to ensure that Marcus Johns is re-elected as the Labour and Co-operative Councillor for Deansgate on 6th May 2021. Elections are tough to fight - and tough to fund. We don't have the financial resources of the Conservatives or Liberal Democrat candidates.
So, we're crowdfunding for our local campaign in Deansgate. Every penny raised will contribute directly to Marcus' re-election campaign.
