Story
On Thursday 4th June 2026, (**postponed to Friday 12th June due to weather and weeds**), the School Council is excited to lead the entire school community on a special sponsored walk we proudly call the "Marden March." This event is more than just a walk; it represents our collective hope and determination to create a better, safer, and more joyful playground for every child.
Each year, through Pupil Voice, we gather inspiring ideas for new playground equipment that will spark creativity and fun. However, these improvements come with significant costs. Sadly, our beloved climbing apparatus has been out of use for over a year due to safety concerns from rot, and the Year 1 and 2 outdoor space—full of potential—is in urgent need of refreshing as its equipment has weathered badly.
To bring these dreams to life, we are rallying together for the Marden March. In the morning, all pupils and staff will embark on a scenic 5km walk around Sutton Walls hill fort—a route that promises fresh air, teamwork, and a sense of accomplishment. Younger children will have a shorter route option so everyone can join in safely.
We are aiming to raise £1,000 to fund these vital playground improvements. Your generous support will help us replace worn-out equipment and transform our outdoor spaces into vibrant areas where children can play safely and happily.
Please join us in making this vision a reality by sponsoring our walk or sharing our story. Together, we can build a playground that inspires joy and adventure for years to come. Thank you for believing in our cause!
