    Story

    Margam YC Stags Inclusion Football and Margam YC are starting to build something special for the area which has high levels of poverty.

    Margam YC Stags Inclusion Football which is located in Margam YC, Port Talbot is the vision for a complete Inclusive Football Club as well as other sports for all people in the Local Area of Port Talbot and Surrounding Areas.

    It has become abundantly clear that there is virtually no facilities for disabled/challenged young people and adults to become involved with ‘grassroots football’ in the Port Talbot area, or to engage with local clubs in organised sporting formats. So we need as a community to do something about it.

    With the kind assistance from Margam YC, Over the last 2 years, I have started our very own Inclusion football.

    The aims are as follows;

    • To provide a relaxing, fun environment for the boys and girls to receive football coaching

    • To stimulate both physically and mentally with interesting and varied coaching methods and games

    • To offer a physical benefit to all involved whatever their level of ability

    • To enhance the friendship circle of all children and parents

    • To instill self-confidence both socially and within the frame of the club itself.

    • Where possible to provide some respite for parents & carers when attending sessions

    Above all that everyone feels included.

    To start the fundraising process, on the 23nd April 2021, Myself and others members of Margam YC Senior team will be running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 miles. The route will start at 4pm on Friday the 23rd April 2021 with the last 4 miles starting at 12 pm on Sunday 25th April 2021. All proceeds from this run will help build the Inclusion Football. Other events will take place in the near future.

    I hope we can count on your support and build a hub within our area where everyone feels welcome.

    Thanks for your support.
