I am hoping to raise as much as possible for the funeral & memorial costs after the passing of Thomas our brother in Dublin, the udertakers cost, cremation costs having to ID him as he had to have a autopsy and then visit again to close down all his accounts! These two things took there toll on me due to my ailments (comorbidities)!

Thomas had lived in Dublin for a lot of years and he loved it! He lived in his little bungalow and had a little dog called Mylo it is a lovely area! Thomas had a good sized front and back garden and spent all day in it when the sun was out!

Last year I fact the day before his birthday he received the confirmation he had Lung Cancer!

I phoned him on his birthday as usual sang him happy birthday and upon asking what he got for his birthday he told me “Lung Cancer” I was floored and even asked if he was joking! He had an appointment with the professor on the 10th June and asked if I would go with him, of course I would I replied! We chatted for a bit until I couldn’t speak anymore I told him I would call him later! After hanging up I broke down unconsolable, my brother, my hero had cancer! I put a message out to family and friends and a couple of members of the family who sent me money to help with me getting across to him!

We attended the appointment and the professor said she was happy she could get it all out with an operation! From the hospital we went to do Thomas’s shopping and went to The Oval, the pub he went in once a week for a couple of pints! We sat talking about alsorts we held hands laughed cried shared our fears hugged and I promised I would be there for him!

I will add more of our journey on a daily basis!

I will also share the details of Thomas’s Requiem Mass at St Mary’s Church and internment with Mum and Dad at Radcliffe cemetery and his Wake at Dobbies Social Club Bradley fold!
