!! We are trying to raise 500 pounds in the next week to prevent eviction !!

Hello everyone

For a year we have been raising funds, counting on mutual aid, for my friend's rent in the UK and his family's in Romania. As my friend S was made destitute by the UK with no right to work last year, and was seeking asylum, and as sole provider for his wife and 4 kids in Romania, mutual aid is what has kept them going. We raised over 2000 pounds to support them, and we want to thank everyone who contributed < 3 The family is eternally grateful to the efforts made to keep them housed.

This year, my friend was deported by the UK to Italy to sit in a trial he knows very little about. My friend is depressed, struggling a lot, and very isolated. He is away from family and community, incarcerated in a prison with little contact to anyone. As my friend is now facing prison and trials, and still responsible for his family, they need more support now than ever.

We are running two separate fundraisers - One to cover his large legal fees so he can continue getting the best representation to seek physical freedom from prison in Italy, and another to support his family with their rent and rent debt while he is still incarcerated.

We want our friend to be freed and join his family again after terrible persecution at the hands of european & uk border and prison systems.
