On Saturday 30th of May our friends Mandy, Elle and Cameron had been out for the day. During this time their shed was broken into and 2 bikes were stolen one of which belonged to Mandy the other to her son Cameron, who is a keen biker. As if this wasn't enough the thieves then set the shed on fire! Luckily friends and neighbours pulled together with hoses, buckets of water and spades and brought the fire under control which helped stop it spreading too much into other gardens and fields untill the firebrigade took over. Sadly they have lost numerous items including a lawnmower, strimmer, garden furniture and tools along with sentimental items. This has been devastating for them as you can imagine. They have worked so hard over lockdown to make their garden beautiful. Police and firebrigade have confirmed this was theft and arson.
The neighbours either side were also affected quite badly too. For Brenda, who lives to the right, her fence has been very badly fire damaged and it will need to be replaced. Also Jane and Andy Williams who live to the right, their fence and also their summerhouse, which was built by Janes Dad as a wedding present have been fire damaged. We would like to raise money to help them all cover some of the costs of repairs or replacement of some items or work that will need to be done.
As you can imagine they are all shocked and very upset that people can be so cruel. So please, if you can donate so they can replace or repair some of the items lost or damaged in the fire.
