I've raised £2000 to Support the Northcote Horses.

The Northcote Heavy Horse Centre is a small but dedicated animal charity that cares for horses, birds of prey and other animals that need a forever home. Some animals come to the centre due to owner circumstances and others through neglect. Some of the animals have even been turned down by other animal charities so we have stepped in to offer them a caring home for the rest of their lives. The centre is run entirely by volunteers, one in particular who works 365 of the year come rain or shine and is 100% dedicated to the animals welfare.
As a visitor attraction during the summer months we aim to educate our visitors about the animals whilst giving a "hands on" experience. We also put on special events to try and raise extra funds. We believe that the horses like to work and it keeps them mentally stimulated and in good condition.
In 2010 the centre became a registered charity (1137340) but incoming donations have still been declining and we have no back up funds to support the work we do.
For nearly 30 years the centre has been operating on the kind generosity of its supporters and each year with rising costs it has become more and more difficult and unfortunately if the funds cannot be raised then the centre faces closure.
I have been visiting and volunteering since a 3 year old and this place means a lot to me and is my second family (animals and people included) so I am trying to raise £2000 by the end of the year to help ease some of the financial struggle and ensure that the animals are well cared for and continue to get the care they need and deserve. Volunteering with BIG horses is not cheap or easy but I will do whatever I can to help give these animals a safe environment to live in.
My aim is to hold fundraising events, silent auctions and raffles to reach my £2000 target and I am asking anyone who thinks they may be able to help, whether it be through donations or the giving of raffle and auction prizes to please get in touch and help me to reach this target.
Thank You
