Story

Six years ago, in the summer of 2012, I travelled to the village of Kabubbu with my school and volunteered there for ten days. I saw poverty and hardship, but also encountered a happiness indescribable, and my life has not been the same since. This July, my mum and I are flying out to Kabubbu once again after a long time of feeling as though I had left something behind. Things will work slightly differently on this trip, with mum working in the healthcare centre as a Registered Nurse, and myself, teaching Shakespeare to the high school students.

On top of the general costs of the trip (flights, accommodation, food, immunisations, etc), we each need to raise £600 for the charity, The Quicken Trust. When I have finished my degree in a month, I will of course be working and doing anything I can to raise this money, but any help would be greatly appreciated! Whether you are a Shakespeare fanatic like me, if you've visited Kabubbu before, or you simply support what we are doing, please sponsor us with as little or as much as you can. Thank you.
