This poor cat turned up outside a restaurant hungry asking for food in the town centre of Darwen last night and really struggling to weight bear on her back leg. Her breathing is laboured and shes been admitted to the vets and put on oxygen. I don’t know if she’s been clipped by a car or hurt another way. The vets said they think her hip is possibly dislocated or fractured however because she is so weak they are unable to sedate her for an xray until shes stable. They’ve done an ultrasound scan on her and taken bloods. Shes very dehydrated so shes on IV fluids to try and help her. Her mouth smells rotten and her ears are a mess inside and she’s so dirty but shes purring and seems happy in herself otherwise so she deserves a chance. She’s been at the vets all day and this has cost £491 however this vets arent a 24 hour vets and they want her to be admitted further to the out of hours emergency hospital so I’ve just taken her and that will be a further estimated bill of around £800 today on top of the £491 and the vet has said they feel like she’s suffered some kind of trauma because the other vet noticed a rupture on the scan which could be caused from her injury so they have to scan again and then she will need an X-ray and then surgery or amputation depending on how bad her injury is and what damage it’s caused which the vet said would be estimated at around £2500 here on top of the £491 at the other vets so all in all £3000 😔 if she goes ahead with the X-ray and op etc. If anyone can help donate and fight for her life it would really appreciated and if you cant please share. This is just an estimation and I can’t say what’s happened to her because I don’t know but I hope no one has intentionally hurt her 💔 and if they have and I find out I will be ringing the police.
