Story

Our Redemptorist parish has long been linked to the Redemptorist work, mainly around Harare, Zimbabwe, for many decades, especially helping feed mainly orphaned children and preparing them to enter state education and paying the fees and levies and providing exercise books but by no means least. We have had parishioners who have spent time over there, helping in various ways not least improving classrooms.

As a parish we have also raised funds to support the Palestinian people with education, healthcare and work opportunities, especially in Bethlehem. Having been to The Holy Land on a couple of occasions and seen the treatment first hand of Palestinians anything we can do to keep them in work and school is a help.

And lastly, through various ways, we have supported Asylum Link in Liverpool who have actively helped and supported refugees in Liverpool.

This is a one-off fundraiser to highlight the plight of different people in different places and add much needed funds to each charity following the most horrendous year.
