Story
We’re raising £20,000
Don’t really know were to start with this but here goes….
Tuesday 07/01/25 Our best friend Shannon received the news that’s no parent should ever have to hear.
He baby boy Marko has been diagnosed with Acute Myloid Leukaemia.
He had been unwell with a cough/cold all over the Christmas period but as any mother would do , she put it down to an every day illness.
Marko wasn’t showing any sign of improvement and also developed further symptoms so Shannon decided to take him to Ormskirk hospital to get him checked.
It was here on the 07/01/25 that Marko was giving his diagnosis and her whole world was blown apart.
The hospital transferred Marko instantly to Alder hey to start immediate chemotherapy.
Shannon works as a carer in our community and rides around in all weather on her bike to meet the needs of the patients she cares for , now we need to help and support her.
She has had to give up work to care for Marko and also has 3 other children to also support.
Life goes on no matter what and bills still role in so as her best friend we want to try and ease any financial stresses that may occur and maybe if we raise enough we would love for them to be able to have a little holiday once Marko finishes his treatment.
Thank you everyone for taking the time to read this and please if you can support even the littlest amount that would be amazing.
