Story
Gary Lewis is ex RLC and left the army in 2006 after having served with 2 Para and The Welsh Guards in Afganistan. Things were ok for a while but slowly his life started to fall apart, his marriage, his life and he became homeless.
However after getting involved with forcesonline he found people he could talk to. Other veterans and that gave him the motivation to change his life round and helped him to get his self esteem back.
He has know secured a job doing what he loves which is Chefing. He has got a job in a hotel. What I would like to do is raise enough money for him to buy a decent knives set and chef's whites to give him a helping hand. It is hard enough asking for help when you have hit rock bottom but to get a helping hand to get back up to the top is what I am trying to do for him. If you are able to donate even just £1 it will really go along way to helping a fellow veteran. I met Gary today for the first time and rather than him sleep on the street until he starts his new job tomorrow he is staying here. I intend to prove there are a lot of good people in this world. Xxx
