Dr Ricard Simo is a consultant otorhinolaryngologist head and neck surgeon providing cancer services to South East London and specialising in complex head and neck oncology and thyroid surgery. He has supported our friend Marie and her family for over 10 years from the time of her first thyroid cancer diagnosis and through the devastating news that her cancer had returned in 2018. It was Dr Simo that pushed for Marie to return to his care at the Blundell Ward at Guys Hospital when she was taken ill with aspiration pneumonia and being under his care was a great comfort for Marie her family and friends. She always spoke so highly of him and way he fought for her. So now we would like to give something back to support his work and care of patients at the Blundell Ward by raising money for the refurbishment of their family room. This means that every penny we raise can help to provide some small comfort to families and friends who sadly have to face the unthinkable.
