It is with a really heavy heart that I am again asking friends and family to help my friend Val to deal with the costs of a funeral and memorial for her son. Many of you will know that Christien Slinn died on Valentines Day 2019 after a short battle with cancer. Now Val is having to come to terms with the loss of Ben on 13 October 2020. We don't yet know the cause of Ben's death but he was only 43. I want to help Val, a pensioner, at this difficult time so that she can have a simple cremation and to provide a memorial bench for Ben to go alongside the one for Christien in Crookes Valley Park, Sheffield.
