Hi my name is Marilyn and im 51 years old,I have a very strong Exstensive Family history on both sides of my family of heart disease and sadly deaths,one being of my 23 year old neice! im trying to raise funds for a urgent Angiography for my heart,I have now collapsed 4 times in the last 8 weeks,On my first collaspe the local Hospital The East Surrey Hospital could not get a ambulance to me for 2 hours,things came to a head yesterday evening when I became very ill and I had to go to Hospital by Ambulance and I thought I will finally get some proper tests for my Heart.They took blood and gave me a Xray which the Doctor explained I have a blocked Artery But he said he cannot refer me to see a cardioligist as the NHS dose'nt allow them to do that anymore! I did explain Im a carer for my disabled husband and Im not able to hardly anything at the moment and really am struggiling day to day.The Doctor at the hospital also advised me that Even if my doctor keeps referring me which she keeps doing the Consultant don,t have to agree to see me,The NHS is in crisis and the doctor said this is Britain today.Im on maximum medication but am very scared its like a ticking timebomb waiting to strike :(. I have found out the cost of the procedure privatly which means I could have it very quickly.Im worried if I have a heart attack who will take care of my very ill husband.Im doing this fundraising out of desperation to get this resolved quickly as possible.I may need surgery as well but at least thats a day case.I Thankyou with all my heart for taking time to read my story.
