Councillor Marion Griffiths is raising money for Evesham Charities. Come for a walk – and raise money for charity!

You are cordially invited to a sponsored walk in aid of Evesham charities and voluntary groups, organised by Councillor Marion Griffiths.

    Sunday 3rd September 2023

Meet at Hampton Ferry, Boat Lane, Evesham WR11 4BP.

Please arrive at 11.30am for a midday start. We will set off together, but after that you can take it at your own pace. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the way round.

The full list of charities to be supported will be updated closer to the time. But it will definitely include the charities supported this year by the Mayor of Evesham, Cllr Alan Booth: Garage Art Group, Working World and Evesham Shopmobility.

Come as you are – or dress for the occasion!

If you feel like going the extra mile (not literally!), fancy dress is welcome. There will be a couple of prizes for the best costumes!

    Bring your furry friends

Dogs are welcome, but please keep them on a short lead for the duration of the sponsored walk. And don’t forget to bring poo bags so that you can clean up when necessary.

    Route

There will be two routes, so pick the one you feel most comfortable with.

Long route – we will broadly follow the route of the Round Evesham Walk, clockwise round the town starting and finishing at Hampton Ferry.

Short route – up Boat Lane and through the churchyard to Abbey Park, then round the riverside back to Hampton Ferry.

    The inevitable small print

Everyone taking part in the sponsored walk does so at their own risk. The organisers of the walk cannot be held responsible for any accidents or injuries which might occur.
