Story
Mark Abram was diagnosed with a terminal brain cancer in April 2017 which devastated him and his family.
Mark's friends and work colleagues sprung into action to support him and his family through such a difficult time.
Successful fundraising events in 2017 included Wigan 10k, 6-a-side Football Tournament and an '80s themed fancy dress night.
We followed this in 2018 by repeating the Football Tournament (which was bigger and better largely thanks to Hindley Green FC, The Swan Hotel and DJ Mark Mullaney) and Wigan 10k. We also added the Tough Mudder Yorkshire event where 4 lads took on the course which was a huge success.
Both Mark and Mandy continue to be incredibly moved by the amount of support they receive from their family, friends and beyond.
As a Royal Mail employee, Mark received full pay whilst absent from work for a period of six months followed by a further six months at half pay. Now, over two years since his initial diagnosis, Mark is in receipt of statutory sick pay.
Events planned for 2019 include:
Climbing Mount Snowdon in July
3rd Annual Football Tournament in August (date TBC)
Wigan 10k in September
Urban Revolution (obstacle course) in October
Any support provided by way of donations or even volunteering to join in and help us to raise money would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks
