I've raised £300 to The Mayor of Prescots Charity

The Mayor of Prescots Charitys aim is to help organisations both large and small. Last year the outgoing Mayor made 20 different donations all of which were gratefully received.
As I am sure you can imagine those organisations need our help even more this year as donations have dried up.
Sadly both of the Mayors charities largest contributors have been unable to contribute this year leaving us with a £2600 shortfall. The Charity has also been hamstrung by not being able to advertise and collect at our biggest fundraisers such as the Elizabethan fair, Prescot Carnival and the town Christmas Cracker event. Bag packs at Tesco have also been unavailable. Despite all of these setbacks the current Mayor, Mark, by thinking outside the box (and with lots of help) and finding new ways to raise funds, is actually on target to beat last years total. This would be an extra ordinary achievement and would help innumerable people. Its been quite a journey so far.
And that is where you can help. Marks latest fundraiser is a St Patricks day 10 mile March. This is by far his longest trek. He will set off from Prescot Town Hall and march to Liverpool Town Hall with a few diversions. 10 Miles of pain, 10 Miles of throbbing aching legs, 10 Miles of feet bursting blisters. You can take pleasure from contributing to this agony with a small donation knowing that good people will benefit.
Mark plans to fight right to the end and you may spot him slogging the streets of Prescot in training for this epic journey. Beep him if you do!
