Faye has suffered from MS for the past 16 years, the MS has left her unable to walk very far and can only do so with walking aids or in a wheel chair for longer distances.
She has taken the very brave decision to go for stem cell treatment in Mexico which will consist of 26 days of intense treatment including chemotherapy and several months afterwards of isolation due to being left with no immune system for a period after the treatment.
This treatment is not available in the UK hence the trip to the HSCT clinic in Mexico as featured in the chanel 4 documentary.
With out this treatment Faye's MS could worsen in the years to come and leave her completely unable to walk and loose her independence altogether. Despite all that Faye goes through on a daily basis she is the kindest, funniest and bravest person that I know and deserves this opportunity so so much.
The cost of this treatmenot is €54000 US dollars which equates currently to £40000.
