I've raised £4000 to support the Amakhala Foundation which provides conservation education to communities around the Amakhala Game Reserve, Eastern Cape, SA.

The Amakhala Foundation works with communities in and around the Amakhala Game Reserve, Eastern Cape, South Africa. The projects and programs are centred around Conservation Education and Literacy & Education. The Amakhala Foundation aims to provide Conservation Education which instils a love and understanding for nature in children that then remains with them for life.
In support of the Amakhala Foundation Mark Graham has written a book of poems, 'Words from the Wild', all of which have a South African wildlife theme. Many of the poems are humorous, all it is hoped are educational. The book can act both as a souvenir of an Amakhala visit and as a vehicle to raise awareness of the plight of South African wildlife.
The book is not yet published but copies can be obtained (in the UK only) by making a donation on this site and sending your name and mailing address details to mgaway@aol.com. You will receive your copy in the post shortly thereafter.
The Amakhala Foundation programmes have been developed over the past 12 years to include over 2000 visiting school children per year. Although the Foundation benefits hugely from the work of volunteers it still needs donations to allow it to continue delivering the programmes and it needs your support.
