My son Etienne was a pupil at Westhaven school for two years. It's an amazing little special needs school in Uphill, a village just outside of Weston-S-M. It caters for children with special needs but it's in a really poor funding situation as money is pulled out of the system and cuts get deeper.

But Westhaven are determined to raise money for a new sports hall and changing facilities, so that they don't have to have their assemblies, their sports activities and all their meals in the same big room.
