Hi all, this is a personal request. A friend of mine is raising money to finish building a barn on his remote Scottish Croft. The new building will mean that serving military and veterans will have a opportunity to stay on a working Croft on the Isle of Lewis. Depending on the time of year families will be able to get involved in lambing, calving and livestock care. My friend, who is also ex-military has invested a significant amount himself in the hope that these opportunities will support individuals and families especially those struggling with poor mental health. Working with farm animals is thought to be particularly beneficial towards a healthy mind.
