Story
Our local pub, the Crown and Plough in Long Clawson flooded yet again on the sixth of January. The landlady, Jo, has to rebuild her business and home out of own funds yet again. This is because, due to the repeated failings of various government agencies, the flood protection that was promised hasn't been adhered to. She can't get insurance anymore because the pub's flooded too many times. Jo is an absolute pillar of the community. She's raised thousands of pounds for MacMillan nurses, and she's arranged a Parish Show that's raised fifteen thousand pounds in two years for local causes. She needs this money to rebuild an absolute village hub. Her pub needs to keep going because it's an absolute asset for us all in the village. It's our meeting place, our central home and our community hub. Please donate as much as you can to keep our pub open.
