I am trying to raise money for a good friend of mine who has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. Danny Fudge-Harman is a fantastic bloke with a young family and is coming to terms with being diagnosed with MND, The NHS describe MND as a rare condition that progressively damages parts of the nervous system, this leads to muscle weakness, often with visible wasting.

I want to make a difference and therefore would like to raise money for Danny's foundation as well as raising awareness of this terrible condition. Therefore on the 27th August I will be competing ( well trying to finish ) Ironman Vichy which is a multi discipline even consisting of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycle ride and finished off by a full marathon (26.2 miles). Whilst I have trained for the event there is no certainty that I will finish. I am hoping that you agree that this event will stretch me both physically and mentally and that my attempting this event is worthy of your support and more importantly your support for Danny's foundation.
