Hi,

My name is Mark and my fiancée’s name is Holly and we are aged 22 and 23 respectively. We have been a couple for 3 and a half years, engaged for 8 months, and we live together in a privately rented flat.

We are trying to raise enough money so that we are able enough to put down a deposit for a family home.

We are hard working, young, middle class people just trying to find our feet in the world. I work full time working with metal, while Holly works part time as a babysitter, even though she struggles with anxiety and agoraphobia. She makes a very conscious effort to help make our situation more bearable. We are both on minimum wage. We both try to scrimp and save as much as we can, and stick to a ‘need rather than want’ basis.

We don’t do drugs, drink, smoke or gamble, and we don’t go to pubs and clubs either. We rarely go out to enjoy ourselves. Despite all this, we find ourselves almost living paycheck to paycheck.

We are at a difficult time in our lives, as we are unable to save for a deposit when so much money is tied up in rent, utilities and other bills. Unfortunately, we have no close family members that we can stay with while we save, and no one to help us on our way either. We are almost stuck in limbo.

There is nothing either of us want more than to be able to have our own place and security, somewhere to call home. To think of starting a family, which is something we’ve both wanted for a long time, but recognized it wasn’t the right time to do so. We want to tie the knot and live a happy life together.

All we need is a 10% deposit to help put us in a better place, both physically and mentally. All we need is for someone to show us the love and support that no one else has, and help us raise the funds.

Please, if you are able to spare even the slightest few pennies, it will go a long way in our ambition to secure a house and help us on our journey. We don’t ask for much, for handouts or for others to pay our way for us. But at the minute, we are doing all we can to better ourselves and we are struggling to overcome this difficult time in our lives.

All we need is someone to recognize our potential and want to give us that chance for us to better ourselves and live a happier life, and a more manageable mortgage and lifestyle.

All we need is that one chance.
