Story
We are Firefighters that work together at South Wales Fire And Rescue Service. Last year we completed the Ten-Y-Fan challenge, and are now taking on a new challenge to continue our fundraising efforts for these two fantastic charities. We are aiming to do the Welsh 3000's challenge on the 27/05/25. The challenge is to complete 15 peaks over 3000 feet, which is over three ranges, and around 30 miles in distance, all within 24 hours, starting at 3am. We are aiming to raise awareness and donations for two great charities, The Firefighters Charity and Ty Hafan, both of which donate much time and energy into helping others.Ty Hafan do alot of amazing and essential work with children with life shortening conditions, providing much needed care and treatment. Their work doesn't stop there, they also provide help and support to both parents and siblings, to help them in extremely difficult times. There work extends far beyond the hospice in Sully, they provide this support to locations all around the bottom half of Wales. As they rely on charitable donations to enable them to keep providing the essential services, care and support to those who need it the most, we ask you please try and help us by joining us on our walk, raising much needed donations, and raising awareness of the great work that is carried out by all the staff at Ty Hafan, so that they can continue helping these children and their families.
Our second charity is The Firefighters Charity. They provide much needed care, treatment and support for Firefighters that have both physical and mental health conditions that can be sustained through their roles. The Charity provides the help and support they need to assist in their rehabilitation to enable them to return to duty. Help us raise some much needed money and awareness.
Many thanks
